Groundhog day

Do you remember the movie The Groundhog day?
It appears to me that the media must have a diary that tells them how to report news. These days Unions, those running the businesses and the government are talking about new pay contracts. Its like a mating dance.
The government put together a budget where they do not allow for pay raises. They always do as do councils. They business owners demand that the government lowers taxes, give up this plan or that plan and that it, in effect, funds the raises.
The unions threaten hell and hope they will not have to strike.
