That beneath the bitter snow

In the wonderful song "The Rose" you find these lines:
(something like this)
Just remember, in the winter, that beneath the bitter snow,
lies the seed that with our gods love, in the spring becomes the rose...

These are two sets of pictures shot on my telephone.
The first in the very early hours of Jaanuar 25th 2012. (Probably 0400 or so)
and the other one in the evening.
