Það tilkynnist hér með að ég ætla ekki að bjóða mig fram til forseta sumarið 2012. Þetta er til þess að tryggja það að enginn fari að gera sér væntingar um að slíkt standi til, - þó reyndar enginn hafi viðrað slíkt við mig.Ég ætla heldur ekki að stofna stjórnmálaflokk vegna Alþingiskosninga, né ganga í gamlan flokk.
Ég mun hins vegar ekki kjósa karlmann sem forseta eins og sakir standa, bara velja manneskju undir 50 ára aldri og í Alþingiskosningum mun ég líklega kjósa þann flokk sem skiptir út nánast öllum frambjóðendum sínum, - en þó ekki Framsókn og alls ekki meðan núverandi formaður er við stjórn.

For the World press (transalation)I feel that it is my obligation, so that the suspense can be calmed, to inform the international media that I have no intention to run, walk or crawl for presidency in Iceland. This is despite the fact that noone has approached me and tried to talk me out of running, but then again, no one has said I should!
Nor will I run for Parliament.
I do however have every intention of trying to hope that the Icelandic people will elect a president of a new generation, promoting the idea that we should not renovate MP's but replace them at the next election. Please leave MP´s and make room for new ones.
