"Ridicule is the first and last argument of a fool", is a quote assigned to a Charles Simmons. Not sure if it's the British politician or the US author. Ridicule is a very good way to keep down sensible debate as when we have ridiculed someone we will also have made sure others will not follow.
This is a favorite past time for certain media presentors and webhosts. I do not care. As Armand Assante (US actor) said "I go out there and make a fool of myself. It's inevitable."
I do not like the ridicule. Its the same as mobbing and when it hits the wrong people it can kill any sensible debate and make people insecure.
Some fools I like. They may be akin to me.
One such wrote a comment on my blog on March 18th last. Not putting any id on his/her comment.
He ridiculed my text by making it clear he found my writing badly phrased in English and Icelandic. The comment appeared on a story where I was complaining about anonymous comments and blogs. This one.

I hope this faceless person found what it needed on the Beatles and their wonderful Revolver album. Tracking the person my counter found that he or she had found me via a google search. His / her IP is 88.149.98.180 and I know its registered in a house in the old town in Reykjavik. I know the address.
I however hope my content is better than my phrasing and I write in English as my counter shows that to be right. I have many readers around the world.
On the other hand I am sorry but this incident forces me to make commentators leave an ID behind.

The same goes for your Icelandic. This is a fact as any competent person can see, so there is no need for attaching a name to it.

Yeah, you shouldn't have attributed Nafnlaus' prior comments to malice. Clearly they are to be explained by his/her stupidity.I think Nafnlaus should've taken a couple of deep breaths before posting his/her comment.
