Who´s to bless and who´s to blame

In history you sometimes get indications of people missing old tyrants. After the fall of Communism in Russia there were rallies where people called for the security of Communism. Even the Zar. Indeed when the revolution of 1917 was in full blast a lot of people had good reason to miss the Zar. Not that he was generally loved while alive.
In Germany people missed the stability and glory that was Hitler and I am sure many Libyans miss Gaddafi now that their country is struck with civil strife.
It is a bit like that in Iceland these days and I am reminded of my youth in Reykjavik. We had a playground and we would build houses (pile up I suppose), make roads, even create rivers to cross and so on. Then some of the cool crowd would mock us and even destroy our hard work so we would have to rebuild our ruins.
Then as kids grew up, a lot of them joined the cool crowd, forgetting their bitterness and joining in with kids that wanted all for nothing, didn´t hesitate to break down what others were doing and so on.
Icelandic politics are a bit like that at the moment.
Unfortunately our spirits have been low and our leaders have done nothing to lift it.
Capacent - a polling firm - have done research on how much faith people have in various bodies. These are not neccesarily comparable. You have the Central bank and the Banking system, the state prosecutor and the judicial system and so on. However - on top are the police and coast guard (90% and 83% respectively) and "The" university (probably the university of Iceland) with 77%.  The judicial system ranks in at 38% (ninth out of fifteen), the state church, 28% number 10, Central bank at 16%, Reykjavik council at 15%, financial system at 12%, the financial supervisory authority at 12%, the legislature at 10% and the banking system at 7%.
So at the moment society as such appears to blame the present government for the reccession and many I know crave for the Indpendance party and the progressive party, who´s lack of all sorts of things may have tributed greatly to the recession.
Which leaves me rather confused once again.

Btw - the title is nicked from a Kris Kristofferson album. A lot of good vibes on it.
