It was comfortable geting into Keflavik for an afternoon flight to London. Hardly anyone there and check in took about two minutes. I was taken for a body search, - just random selection a nice girl said but the BO of the guy who did it was not so nice. I thought perhaps this was what was going on but Sigga said dream on!
Anyways - even the Iceland Express flight was comforatble, legroom, they were on time and so on. There was no legroom coming back but thats for later...
And guess what happenend at Stanstead? Just a random check, the passport controller said! Dream on what?

London town again - I'm back!
Ok. Hackney is new to me and of course Katrín drew a very detailed map of Hackney, her kitchen (seperate map) and train issues (blackboard on wall). Ridley road was the first exciting thing to see. There you have several layers of commerce from the street market to the shopping mall along side it and an High street as well!
From there we took a train into the underground and eventually to Oxford Circus. Sigga is slightly concerned over very young mothers with their very very young babies but I was more concerned with stations and colours of lines. When in London I am fine overground and know excactly where to go but admittetly one does wonder and I could not answer this but do you go up Oxford street when heading towards Tottenham court road or is it up the other way? Then there is a third point. Always is - who cares?
Down into Soho we went. We are reminded of a wedding here in 1981 and one day we did go into Carnaby street and I got some Fish and Chips. Chipper is still there! We are ever reminded of the fact that when the meal ws finished my eating hand was very clean but not my other one...
We split up at Melanies on Old Compton street, a very friendly Italian and I headed for Denmark street and she went - well I really don't know where do I?
Then we teamed up again and it was Covent garden, the Strand and hunger appeared. How about a Kebab? Loads of these? But are there? Well, not when I am hungry. None to be seen and hunger grows so Bella Italia was the compromise. I did order Burger Americano but got a pasta instead. So hungry that I settled for that with a load of parmesan and apologies.
Afther the meal there were Kebab places all over!
At Katríns we had a good time and took a peek at The King George - a very nice local, and is there anything as good as a good Northern bitter? Iaskyou!

The London trains are really good. From Dalston we make a few changes and tunnel walks and out you come at Baker Street.
